Starbeck Mens Shed was formed in 2018 by Claro Enterprises, a registered charity, who themselves operate a fully functional and commercial woodworking factory in Starbeck. To encourage full use of their facility they called upon two of their volunteers Keith Howard and Robin Wilkinson to carry the project forward and so the Shed was formed and successfully operates each Friday from 12:15pm to 4:00pm.
Activities include:
- Woodturning for experienced and novice turners.
- Anything from wood withing the boundaries of time and size.
- Furniture restoration.
- Bespoke furniture commissions.
- Pro bono projects within the community.
